Augie’s Quest 2021

CHEER ON YOUR TEAM

We are so excited to rally behind our team of wellness employees from the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA! Thanks to Myzone for creating this employee team challenge, our YMCA was able to make a donation to Augie’s Quest and enter our team to exercise for a cure for ALS!

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a progressive nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control. ALS is often called Lou Gehrig’s disease, after the baseball player who was diagnosed with it.

We know ALS is a disease we can tackle; a problem we can solve. ALS is curable, it’s just underfunded. Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS is dedicated to changing the experience of people living with ALS. They raise the funds and awareness urgently needed to advance cutting-edge research, fast-track effective treatments, and ultimately, find a cure for this devastating disease.

How has using Myzone influenced your workouts? Myzone allows me to monitor my effort level and optimize my workouts. If I have unlimited time I can focus on target zones to maximize fat burn and muscle recovery then finish strong with HIIT or endurance cardio.
