Mary Jo Burke “MJ” is a perfect example of what the YMCA is all about. If you’ve spent any time at the Pittston Y, there’s a good chance you’ve had a conversation with her. She’s always one of the first to greet members with a smile. She makes everyone feel welcome the second they walk in the door.
What stands out most about MJ is her attitude. She brings positive energy every single day. She takes time to connect with people, not just check them into the Y. Members know her and look forward to seeing her. She plays a huge role in creating the kind of environment we want here.
MJ takes a lot of pride in making sure the building is safe and secure. She’s reliable, consistent and always willing to help wherever she is needed without hesitation. We are really lucky to have MJ on our team. The impact she has on our members and the overall atmosphere does not go unnoticed!
