Universal Locker Rooms

Both the men’s and women’s Locker Rooms at the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA (40 West Northampton Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701) have finished renovations and are now open to members of the historic YMCA. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will commemorate the reopening on Wednesday, February 11 at 5 PM.

The newly-remodeled locker rooms feature a red-light sauna, stunning showers, laundry & towel service and brand-new, larger lockers. The women’s locker rooms also feature a private workout area for members renting a locker.

FREE day-use lockers are available for all members. The day-use lockers are part of a new universal locker room, which features four private showers/bathrooms and three new universal sinks and mirrors.

Monthly locker rental options are $25 for a half locker or $35 for a full locker. Members can email [email protected] to join the wait list for the men’s locker room, which sold out quickly. Few lockers remain in the women’s locker room. Anyone interested in seeing the space or scheduling a tour can click here to schedule a walk-through.

This project is a huge milestone for the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA, one that reflects our shared commitment to creating welcoming, dignified spaces for everyone. Thanks to all that contributed financially to making this possible, including Jim Bobeck, Terese Karambelas, the FM Kirby Foundation, and our local legislators – Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski and Senator Marty Flynn. Special thanks to our members for continuing to support the YMCA during the construction phase.
