Camp Kresge is a branch of the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA. The camp is located in White Haven, operating day and overnight camps during the summer, in addition to teen leadership programs. During the spring and fall, we offer outdoor education field trips to school groups, similar to the programs we are offering below for Remake Learning Days!

Discovery Hike

Camp Kresge’s beautiful 1100 acre property provides the perfect natural environment for your outdoor learning experience! You’re invited to participate in a simple guided hike along some of our main trails, learning about the animals that live here. While we walk, you’ll be encouraged to use four of your five senses to experience the natural world in a unique way. Hiking will be beginner-level on easy trails, all skill levels welcome!

Sunset Boating

Come enjoy Camp Kresge’s beautiful Beaver Lake and learn how to safely operate a kayak or canoe with your family! Escape the hustle of daily school or work, and relax while enjoying the gorgeous natural scenery around our private lake. One of our certified lifeguards will teach you the basics of water safety and how to paddle around the lake, before letting you explore for yourself.

The full time frame is not necessary for participation. The Discovery Hike takes about an hour to complete, so we encourage you to consider participating in both activities on the 15th or 23rd for a fantastic and fun-filled afternoon!
